I have Lupus and mine seriously effects my Central Nervous System. For about 4 years I couldn't even wear shoes at all cuz the nerves in my feet were so sensitive. I wore slippers. Yep, slippers. Everywhere. Even to my grandmothers funeral.
Finally I started wearing crocs and now I can wear Easy Spirit shoes that slip on (they are like crocs)
I cannot wear any shoe that has a back part that goes around the ankle or I am in agony.
So that Rich snoody biaatch would have a field day with me.
And I have crocs in just about every color of the freakin rainbow since that is basically all I can wear and my daughter works at Payless Shoes corporate and gets a huge discount.
I think your shoes are wonderful.
